Sonia Zapata Alizzi, Registered Nurse, Director of Nursing for Southside Group of Companies since 2005. Sonia started her profession in the field of Infectious Disease and Travel Medicine in 1994 where she gained an extended knowledge of communicable disease and treatment, infectious disease and treatment as well as international travel medicine immunizations and physicals requirements. Sonia later moved on to expand her profession in Infusion Therapy working as a Corporate Nurse, training nurses how to insert PICC lines and provide infusion therapy for multi-specialty therapies. Her career with Southside has allowed her to utilize her knowledge in overseeing the Home Health Department, Clinical Trials and Infusion Therapy Management and Oversight. She enjoys learning and interacting with others. Sonia is a member of Association of Nurses in AIDS Care, The International Organization of Multiple Sclerosis Nurses, and Infusion Nurses Society.
